Amidst the incessant problems that our society faces, there are those who refuse to sit on their hands and instead work tirelessly to improve the lives of others less fortunate. An organisation that has the potential to make a significant difference in people’s lives is Vivekananda Guidance & Counselling Educational Trust, an NGO that we founded and run. Our organization’s purpose, principles, and the steadfast determination of our team to create a better future for everyone are laid forth in this piece, which acts as an introduction.

Our Vision

Our aim at Vivekananda guidance & counselling educational trust has always been and will always be to support underprivileged communities, give people agency, and spark long-term transformation women empowerment. Every person has the inherent right to live a life of dignity, which includes the provision of adequate housing, food, clothing, medical care, and education.

Our Story

In 2019, a group of caring people with a shared goal of a world free from poverty, inequality, and injustice came together to establish Vivekananda Guidance & Counselling Educational

Trust: These trailblazers set out on a mission that would alter the world for countless others, driven by their own experiences and the critical need for change. Our organisation’s values are the guiding principles that shape our actions, decisions, and interactions. They reflect our commitment to transparency, accountability, and unwavering dedication to our cause.

Empowerment: We believe in empowering individuals and communities to become agents of change in their own lives.

Our Programs: Vivekananda Guidance & Counselling Educational Trust operates a wide range of programs designed to address various facets of social and economic development:

Education for All: We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Our programs provide access to quality education and vocational training for underprivileged children and adults.

Healthcare Initiatives: Good health is a fundamental human right. We work to ensure that communities have access to essential healthcare services and information.

Women Empowerment: We support and empower women through skill development, education, and advocacy, fostering gender equality and social change.

Environmental Sustainability: Recognising the importance of a healthy planet, we engage in initiatives to promote environmental conservation and awareness.

Our Objectives

That the object of the trust shall be as under:

  • To promote and establish educational institutions or to help in setting up or maintaining school and other institutions such as orphanages, widow home, lunatic asylums for relief or held to the Old and infirm people and/ or destitute.
  • To render help and assistance in cash or kind to “poor and destitute persons or widows” etc.
  • To give render help and assistance to the persons affected by the natural and other calamities which as flood, fire, famine, cyclone, Earthquake, accident, drought, epidemic etc. and to give Donations, or contribution to institutions, establishments, centre.
  • Persons doing relief work on such occasions.
  • To establish, maintain or grant aid for the establishment or maintenance of wells, tube wells, water reservoirs and trees and Construction of and repair of paths, roads, bridge etc, for the use of general public.
  • To provide help, and assistance to meet travelling boarding and Lodging expenses for students going abroad for higher education.
  • To foster and encourage education and training in handicrafts, fine arts among women folk in general and establish institutions imparting such education and to establish, support or help by monetary gifts or otherwise centres and institutions for women and children and to provide social welfare work for them.
  • To grant, pay or give scholarships, stipends, prizes rewards and the other financial assistance to students in pursing their studies in schools, colleges, technical institutions, art schools or other trading, research or educational work in India or abroad.
  • To promote, assist and maintain all activities by whosoever carried out or whenever carried out in India in conformity with the object of the trust and as are conductive to the well being and general welfare of the notion or for advancement of any object of general public utility not carrying on any activity for profit.
  • To renovate or repair any temple, mosque, gurudwara, church or other places notified by the Central Government in official gazette to be of historic archaeological or artistic importance or to be a Place of public worship.
  • To help the preservation of cattle’s and useful animals. k)To publish, book pamphlets periodicals and newspapers in India Or outside for the spread and advancement of education and Culture.
  • To apply, form, establish and accept affiliation from any educational institution in India or from abroad for better education of poor, needy and brilliant students in general for useful, proper and advance education of the students.
  • To establish library for general public of the society.
  • To establish rehabilitation centre for physically challenged childrens.

Board of Trustees

Executive Committee: The Executive Committee manages the Foundation’s operation directly and it reports to the Board of Advisors. Members of this committee are professionals working with Vivekananda Guidance & Counselling Educational Trust and it is mandatory to include a member from the Board of Advisors. The Executive Committee of Vivekananda Guidance & Counselling Educational Trust holds a meeting each Quarter (every three months) and looks after day-to-day management.

The Board of Advisors comprises of technically competent people from diverse backgrounds and expertise. The body is formed for a period of one year and a few independent members with eminence and reputation are nominated each year. Members of this board also meet once every Quarter.

The Board of Advisors advises the Trustees of Vivekananda Guidance & Counselling Educational Trust, taking regular inputs from the Executive Committee.

Board of Trustees : The Board of Trustees sets the vision and broad guidelines for the Foundation and ensures good governance in liaison with the Board of Advisors; although, the Board of Trustees is not involved in the day-to-day operation of Vivekananda Guidance & Counselling Educational Trust
